Rave: Rebecca Minkoff Navy Mini Mac

When Shopbop had a 20% off sale, I told everyone that they are not to let me buy anything. Of course.. at 10pm I decided that I really need it. See my lemming post. I have clutches and mega big totes and nothing in between. I do not have cross over sling bags as I never liked shoulder sling bags. It has become too crazy on weekends. I have my wallet with me in one hand and I end up shoving it to Mick to hold it if I had to carry one of the boys. DHL did deliver (shock) and I was one of the lucky ones who did not have an issue with them palming off parcels to Australia Post.

I lean casually on flamingos you see
I was worried that it was too long as you cannot change the length of the strap. I am wondering if someone else has managed to do so and I am just not very clued in the area of strap length management.

Just the right size

Great compartment space
I am loving this bag as it doesn't get in the way! I have two hands free and I am able to get access to my things easily. The best thing is the compartments. I put my keys in the front pouch so things in the main pouch don't get scratched. I have my phone in one thin compartment, a lipstick and powder would fit in the other. And I still have room in the main compartment if I need to put something makeup wise in there. The gold is not too JLo from the block either LOL. Don't you feel great when you receive a great online purchase?

Stalk my Weekend: Le Petit Gateau Cafe Vue Aldi

Le Petit Gateau window display
What a great weekend! I went to Le Petit Gateau and bought their signature Brownie Passionfruit Gateau. It was recommended by @DaisyNTSFM Let me just state it for the record that when it comes to birthdays and cakes. You need to consult Twitter food bloggers! How good does this window display look? I bought some horse head pops too as they were out of teddy bear pops. I guess I gotta go back!

Random Score: Pizza Slice
I must have had some good karma. I got off at a train station that I do not normally jump off. I was walking down the steep slope of Heidelberg train station when Domino's staff were yelling out.. "Free Pizza". Free? Random Score plus Stalk my Weekend, how good is that? I should have ran with the story that I bought Mick a pizza slice for his birthday when he said I didn't know Domino's sold pizza by the slice. Nope, I said the truth. Dammit.

Omg there's cake joy joy!
I am starting to believe that these two boys are going to have sophisticated taste buds. I can tell you that there was dancing and eating at the same time. D said it was very yummy and asked for the cake again in the morning. It was adorable watching their faces filled with joy for getting treats. Luke got too excited and climbed on the coffee table when Mick was cutting it. At one point I thought the cake would have a sock shoved in it.

D with funky sunnies on dentist chair
Lukey getting the sunnies on
I had been very nervous about this dental visit for them to be honest. I have a fear of dentists (no offence to Ling) and I did not want my boys to suffer. So people had been saying that we should be taking them to the dentist once they have teeth. Well it's been 2 years too late then! I pace up and down and was crabby in the morning. But check them out! They look absolutely happy to be there. We visited Ling from The Best Beauty Blog for their checkup, who is excellent with kids by the way! Huge sigh of relief as she said that they were in good shape. Phew. They got used to sitting in the chair and having the lights shine on them. I was surprised that she even managed to get Pickles looked at.

White Aldi Kid's Bench
I am sure that everyone knows I love Aldi (just cannot do another frozen meal for awhile). Now my junk mail guy must have slacked off or something. I do not seem to get the catalogues or maybe I no longer notice them. But I saw their special catalogue as they had a link to a egg hanging chair. So we decided to get them this white kids bench for $50. So cute!!! Mick and D put it together. Not bad for $50... although I questioned Mick on why the slats were not flat and whether it was poor flat pack assembling workmanship. LOL he is not happy.

Yummy Cafe Vue Wagyu burger pack
I leave you with Cafe Vue's Wagyu Burger takeaway pack which I bought as a treat for myself for trooping up to get the cake. It was so amazing, I thought that I could cry! Mick pretty much cried as he was missing out. The patty was juicy and soooo tasty, melted cheese, bacon and a great soft bun. It was only made better with those cut fries. Bliss.

Shopping Haul: Lovisa

There's a neon party on my arm
I am walking through Melbourne Central on my lunch break after 2 meetings that finished at 1pm. Yay I'm going shopping. I actually stepped into Cue for the first time in many years.... many! Did I say many! Ok I am used to Target pricing these days, even the sale items made me go huh! So I promptly left and kept walking to wards my ramen shop. Then I walk past Lovisa.. big signs holler out to me. 3 items for price of 2 ... I am in.

Oh hai look at those marks i leave on your arm

Everytime there is a 3 for price of 2 kind of deal. I have this struggle to find #1) 3 items and #2) 3 items of equal or thereabouts value. You cannot have one item that's so super cheap along with one that is so much higher. Learn it right here with Queen of shop smart Ling. So I skipped past necklaces because I wanted this ring below. So I ended up with 2 of the same bracelet (they stretch) in different colours and the ring below.

Collette for Lovisa ring
I asked the girls at work if they wanted to see my Lovisa bling. One said my bracelet is not from Lovisa. I'm not sure where she thought I got it from. I showed her the dangling tag... she goes Oh! Maybe it looks totes expensive.

Kaching ... $34 for 3 items. Yay!!! Can't wait for their big sale and I will take D in to help me choose. :)

Halloween Pumpkin Carving

I come to eat your children
I have come to type this post with a puffy chest. Yah.. I am about to boast. Check out this pumpkin carving. Is that not cooler than the ones you see on the Martha Stewart show? At least on this blog post, there is no Martha Stewart interrupting her guest mid-sentence.

This is the first pumpkin that we have ever attempted. I use the word WE loosely as I clearly did not encourage or participate in this. If you read my posts here from November 2010. I declared cutting pumpkins as one of my hates in cooking. Mick came back with this pumpkin from Woolworths. He said it costs $11. I gave him the side glance like W.T.H. $11! Edited: Mick corrected me, it was about $20!! I thought he would not carve it and it would be sitting there rotting and mocking my pumpkin cutting skills. But look how well it turned out.

Carving WIP D says Oh Hai
This is the pumpkin carving work in progress. Tools used in this exercise was a hacksaw blade plus a bread slicing knife that had a jagged edge. Pickles is looking mighty serious here and D was posing for the picture. They got a bit bored after helping dig out the seeds and ran inside. But D told me he wanted to help with the pumpkin and went back out to carve the eyes and nose with the hacksaw blade with Mick guiding him. I am not sure how nobody has lost any fingers.

So it looks like I better prepare candy for tomorrow as we might get a few door knockers with this outside the house. How cool is that!

Daiso Melbourne CBD

Daiso Melbourne CBD Entrance
Does everyone else love Daiso as much as me? I see lots of nodding heads. My friends in Singapore are shocked that we have Daiso in Melbourne. This is because they think we live under a rock. It is $2 in Singapore but in Melbourne it's $2.80. We get ripped off again. It is a shop where you walk in and think what stuff will I buy that I don't need. Oh yeah.. I don't need these stickers but I will still get them. $2.80! Woohoo. There are good bargains in the makeup department. A big packet of sponges would be $8-9 is $2.80 in here.

Oh hai adorable cutlery set
There is nothing better than being able to browse each and every aisle in Daiso on your own. Yes all of you mothers would relate to this. So this is my Daiso haul.

Daiso Haul
If you want crayons, these soft crayons that I bought are incredibly good. This is the second box that I have and I bought this for the boys' family daycare provider. The 2 sponges are so cute! When I went home with them. The boys were in the bath so I handed it to them. Priceless moment.. D says to me. Thank you for my sponge Mummy.

The rice crackers were prawn cracker flavoured and the boys call them big crackers. They are really yummy to be honest. Make sure you look for them.

Daiso in Melbourne CBD is bigger and more spacious than Doncaster. :) Can't wait to go back. Woohoo.. I might already need to go back as we are missing one fork from the cutlery set already.....

The Claw: Hello Darling Spring 2012 Collection

There is nothing like coming home from work and seeing this package arrive for you.
You do a silent omgawd and then you want to start crying, jumping around and dancing going yay yay yay. It's got the ribbon trademark on it. It's pastel and pretty and all things girly. Yah it's a lovely care package from Hello Darling. I thought I could cry!

It's the Ribbon package!
As you know, I love Hello Darling shades and they have been featured many times here. Then there had been the lemmings.. lemmings for a long time for the Spring collection. Did you guys see it here?

HELLOOOO LINGGGGG!!!
I started doing a dance about when I opened each individually wrapped bottle. How gorgeous do they look? Are you also dancing along with me? It's the jump from one leg to another leg dance. Left to right: 24K, Teenage Dream, Hopelessly Devoted, Dreamboat, Breakfast in Bed (bottom).

Claw on train
I'm using Fairy Floss which I had already featured before on my little finger. It probably needs another coat, I did 3 thin coats. But the others were only 2 - and no top coat. My bad, I am on the seche vite soon. Claw also loves hanging around on trains as long as they are moving!

Pastel Pink Roses have bloomed
The pastel pink roses have bloomed and what great timing! This is my favourite colour roses. Mick had to replant them recently as the old ones had died. He thinks that he killed them by spraying a chemical incorrectly. Oopppss... But look, Claw loves pastel pink roses.

Mick had cut this rose out of the garden for me for our bedroom. Look at this gorgeous colour! It's just amazing and nothing says Spring more than these colours!

Hello Darling is on Facebook - Stalk them for latest updates https://www.facebook.com/hellodarling ooohhh coming up is a collaboration with Prinnie. PLUS a new collection called Summer Jewels. Anyone else getting as excited as me?

Stalk my Weekend: Miu Miu and Deck Garden

Ok I am not ashamed of this. I am a 30 something year old that happily takes handbags from her Mum.

Ready for Spring? Miu Miu makes me egg cited
Mum went to Rome recently and she went crazy. This is what she bought for me. The Miu Miu mock croc wallet and the little bow satchel. I said that there is a new design for this. It probably got lost in translation in Italy cos this is not the new one that I saw. But anyway!! I will not complain.

D calls this his farm
As the deck sanding and oiling has finally finished - I will have to post before and after pics soon. But seriously who would want to look at before and after pics on here? I think I will stick to the clothes and stuff. This is what D calls his farm. Mick bought some herbs and potted them in these old pots that someone threw out on the side of the road. He had tipped the overgrown old plants out and bleached them ready for the 'farm'. D was really enthusiastic to help with mulch and watering the plants. Pickles just basically ran around hitting me with some unidentified plastic thing. He did want to clean up the deck with a giant adult sized broom as mulch went everywhere.

Giant Nutella anyone?
Lastly... if anyone is after a 5kg tub of Nutella. You can get them at a SPECIAL price of $70 at Colonial Fruit and Veg store in Doncaster. :) Lord I love this shop. Barilla pasta is perpetually on sale here! And they stock Gippsland South eggs which is amaze!
